And.... TIME!

So, I think most of you have had enough time to comment. I did the math but we won't go into that. Thank you all for your comments. It was very nice of you!

This is what I am thinking about today:

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

I think this stuck out to me because of what has been said on Chris' blog lately. We act like "good christians" and talk like "good christians" but it isn't about being "good christians." It is about pleasing God and doing all those things in faith. Doing them because we know they give glory to God and because he rewards thoses who seek him.

I'll let you think more about this on your own. What is God saying to you through this verse?

Warning level elevated

Kate--this has nothing to do with your post. It's an apology for my inattention! I can't believe that I'd bookmarked your site last October and never realized that I'd bookmarked to a specific posting. I've been assuming that you hadn't had time to keep up the blog since you'd said in music team last fall that you'd not posted for a while.

Glad you said something about me not posting for a few weeks--I finally asked Beaner about your blog, and she identified what I'd done!

Silly me!

You'll see me responding from time to time from now on!

I was wondering why you liked everyone else more than me.

Just Kidding! Glad you found your way though!

I never should have mentioned that this blog allows anonymous posts. You finally learned how to use it.

i see this verse as a real encouragement. It reminds me that I don't have to blidly amble through life wondering if God's pleased with me. I don't have to set myselff a load of stringent rules and try and impress God by obeying them.

I would get so insecure doing that, becaue I would never know what God really thought of me all the while I am trying to seek him so hard.

But the verse lets me know that God sees all we do and He knows our heart and where we are at. I can be 100% confident that He rewards me when I earnestly seek Him. When I do actions in this faith, I can know He is pleased and what He feels. So my relationship with God will get so much deeper.

I can know God sees me a blameless because of my accepting what Jesus did for me.

(that's been a long comment!)
